This page is all about the tools and equipment I use in the garden and in my harvest kitchen. I have a separate kitchen near the garden to make things a little easier, so you may see some things that would be impractical in your home kitchen, but extremely useful in a secondary kitchen.

This is the digital pressure canner I use almost weekly. If you’re at under 1,000 feet elevation, all you do is set the dial to the amount of time you want to pressure can for and follow the prompts. It takes all the guess work and stress out of pressure canning.

In the fall, this is my workhorse in the kitchen. I have two of these dehydrators running almost 24/7 preserving my harvest. This is one of the most used tools in my kitchen!

Mandolin slicer

Mandolin

This is the mandolin slicer I use. It’s great for slicing potatoes and squash as well as dicing onions and garlic for dehydrating.

Bowl Covers

These fabric bowl covers get a lot of use in my kitchen. I use them to cover my bread dough as well as any recipes that need to be refrigerated or covered for a while. It saves me from having to use plastic wrap or foil that will just get thrown away.

Reusable zip-top bags are a great way to reduce waste and save money. These bags are extremely durable and are exceptionally good at storing food in the freezer.
