My Favorite Recipes

My family is not what I would call adventurous when it comes to food. We like things rather simple, which can make it a little difficult when searching for new meal ideas. I’m not the kind of person that needs recipes to be easy. In fact, I like a challenge when I cook something new. It’s rare that I will state that a recipe is “simple” or “easy” because I find that to be a relative term. Experienced cooks will likely find most recipes easy. But new cooks or maybe people who don’t really enjoy cooking (that’s me) will likely find many recipes to be challenging in a variety of ways.

At the end of most of my recipes, I like to give you some options for alterations. I can’t stand peas, so peas in any recipe are immediately switched for me. I like to use green beans, but perhaps corn or asparagus is a better option for you. That’s great! Try it all and see what you like. As long as you like it, there’s no wrong way.

This page is all about the recipes my family and I love. You’ll find recipes for water bath canning, pressure canning, standard dinner and dessert recipes as well as some for household products like laundry soap and dish soap.

Occasionally, I’ll find a product that I absolutely love and I’ll provide a link for you, in case you would like to purchase the same thing. In this case, I may receive a small commission as an affiliate. Rest assured, there is never any additional cost to you.
