Dehydrating
Dehydrating your food is an excellent way to preserve it. I love to eat dehydrated fruit and that’s the main way I preserve most of my fruit harvest. In fact, I dehydrate so much food in the fall that I have 2 dehydrators running almost 24 hours a day for several weeks.
This page is all about dehydrating and the recipes I love. Any links to Amazon are for products I absolutely love. I won’t recommend something I don’t use myself unless it’s the same brand as what I use and I want to give you some options. If you do see a link, there’s a chance I will receive a small commission if you purchase the item since I am an Amazon affiliate. There is never any additional cost to you.

Dehydrator
I dehydrate a lot, so I opted for a rather large dehydrator. I prefer the square trays as they are easier for me to load and the trays don’t need to rotate, like the round dehydrators.
The older dehydrator I use has 9 trays, and I really like it. Since it’s been such a workhorse over the years, I decided to stay with the Magic Mill brand and I now have the newer model with 10 trays. There are many with more trays or fewer trays, depending on your needs and budget.
I’ve included 2 models below. The larger one is what I use. Not everyone has the space I have, so I’ve included a smaller model as well, which is also a little more budget-friendly.
